View Full Version : [ubuntu netbook remix] Dell mini 9 jaunty UNR, A couple of questions...

I was wondering if anyone on here has attempted (with or without success) to install a program called cache901. It is a very nice looking peice of software, so I thought I would try it out... I was unsuccessful in getting it installed on my system. Anyone have any suggestions? Google has been of no help in finding resources on the matter.

I one other question (completely unrelated). What is the best external CD drive for the mini 9? Preferably one that can read and write both CD's and DVD's. But that is not necessarily a requirement.

What is cache901? ...any link? A suggestion, someone might be interested in what it does to try it.

Cache901 is a paperless geocache management program. It looks like a very useful tool, if I could get it to install... The website is here http://www.cache901.org.

Hopefully, a reply from the author will help. Tell me what's happened? All I know right now is that you aren't able to get it to install. Which version of Ubuntu are you using? What steps did you take to try to install? What errors did you get? With that info, I should be able to help you get it right. Also, did you follow the steps at http://www.cache901.org/downloads#section-3 ? If so, what happened?
