Hello! I have just bought new Lyromedia camera. Skype recognizes it, but the image is very dark. Is there a way to fix it? It appears that there are no drivers for it, and can work only with module LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype

UPD

$v4l-conf

The camera via lsusb is recognized as Microdia PC Camera, and the appropriate driver is loaded to kernel via modprobe, but to no avail. Camorama without LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so wouldn't capture video. Even with preloded module, the video is still very dark, and adjusting brightness, etc doesn't improve the image much. I have no idea what to do else...

dovael, no I haven't... I guess it will remain the same... there is a Google group microdia http://groups.google.mv/group/microdia maybe they will be able to fix your problem.
