The entire Siamese Dream disk rocks. Way to hard to pick a favorite. It's one of those disks I can listen to from beginning to end repeatedly.

I used to really like Smashing Pumpkins, until one day I put on Siamese Dream and realised that a) all their songs sound the same b) the songs weren't actually that good.

Disarm, but it's only for the nostalgia, non of their riffs aren't beautiful, sad and raw enough for me so I dont really listen to them if I can avoid it.

The Beginning is the End is the Beginning.

That remix is the only song of theirs that I think I can classify as good, but that's only my opinion, obviously. :)

I like Obscured from Pisces Iscariot which is their b-sides. That's the only SP stuff I listen to anymore. Everything after Siamese Dream is terrible, except 1979 which is a great pop song.

I can't believe it took until the 2nd page for someone to say that. "Today" is one awesome song.

Yeah, next to Today, that's probably one of the best.

Cherub Rock. There's another one I've heard on the radio, about not being a boy anymore and something about murder or death? Can't think of the lyrics anymore. That's a good one too. That's pretty much all I've heard. I've thought about buying Siamese Dream but could never pull the trigger.

Disarm is the one about not being a boy anymore... the other one... no clue... But really, you should buy Siamese Dream. But if you do, do yourself a favor and buy Gish too. They're well worth the cash.

#1. - The End is the Beginning is the End
#2. - Ava Adore
#3. - Cherub Rock
#4. - Zero
#5. - Daphne Descends

I never considered myself a big fan of the Pumpkins (now just Billy and some other people calling themselves SP), but my wife, who is a HUGE SP fan, really opened me up to their entire repertoire.

If everyone posted "not interested" in threads they didn't care about, you wouldn't find that silly?

Yeah, that's the one! What I meant by 'murder or death' was the line "The killer in me is the killer in you" :) I like this song much. I will add both those albums to my wish list ;)

I still go with Cherub Rock just because of how it NEVER fails to get me going, even after all these years. It's this shimmering, glittering, assault of audio fuzz--and I love it.

btw, I amend my previous statement.

I listen to their music a good bit, but mostly am unfamiliar with the song titles:

- Adore
- The End is the Beginning is the End
- Zero
- Appels and Oranjes (not Daphne Descends)
- Mayonaise
- Eye (AWESOME)

Don't want to bring up an old thread but couldnd't resist...

Cherub Rock is by far their best imho, followed by Disarm. :)
