I am allergic to bees also, but not to the extent I need an antivenom (or whatever you call it). My eldest son is allergic to milk.

Dust mites give me nasal congestion. Imported European grass (i.e. not native to California) causes me to itch slightly on skin contact. Nothing really serious.

Actually, it's not cat hair that causes an allergic reaction, but rather from either secretoglobin, lipocalin, albumin, or cystatin allergens present in salivary or sebaceous secretions.

Cat hair itself can cause allergic reactions. My wife is allergic to cats (even though we have one) but not to any of the skin tests for allergies. Our doctor was adamant that this was impossible, but the allergy specialists (she saw 3) agree that cat hair can cause a true allergic reaction.
So, when someone says they are allergic to cat hair, they are.

I suffer from bouts of Monday-itis - cause by an allergy to work, usually worse after the weekend...tends to cause a nasty nasty rash in a place you really dont want to know
there is no known cure....(as I take the rash with the fact I can afford to eat and live :P)
hehehehehe
