This has been driving me crazy for three days now. Installed 8.10 on a powerbook G4 667mhz with the ati videocard. I used the alternate install disk. When I try and boot I get the crazy flashing screen. Booting with
Linux nosplash
or
Linux nosplash video=radeonfb:1152x768-24@60
gets me a brown screen that fades to red. I can "alt F1" to a terminal and log in but that doesn't help much because I'm unable to edit any files. I have read just about everything I could find on the forums. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also have tried to get the 9.04 livecd to work and I have the same problems.
