Hi Folks,

Two problems, first off I can't get the web cam to work at all. If I start Camorama I get "Could not connect to video device (/dev/video0) Please check connection" .. so I'm assuming I've got a driver issue here.

The sound is more awkward. I've followed numerous instructions and the sound seems to be coming out from the "pc speaker" rather than the main amplifier. Headphones are great, but when I use them, I've obviously got to turn down the "internal speaker" volume - it's jack int-speaker pcm - because plugging in the headphones doesn't cut the internal speaker.

I've been following who knows what instruction ... anything I can get my hands on ... and I'm lost.

I started with this thread - http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=7631269#post7631269
... and went over to this area https://launchpad.net/~rlinfati/+archive/ppa but the authentication - "sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys FC519644" failed with a time out from the keyserver.

I'm headed for 5 hours 40 mins out of a fully charged battery, while running wireless, AVI movies ... this is a gorgeous machine.

Off on holiday tomorrow morning, so if no one has any ideas in the next few hours, I'll check in on the thread in two weeks ... depending on whether anyone has a wireless connection where I'm going!!!

Many thanks for any help.

Michelle.
