Just want to confirm that I'm seeing this also. At least on my netbook, I updated my desktop PC and the applet is acting the same as it always had in the past(always visible).

Thank you I'm using r0.92.0+r146 if you just updated it
you will need to reboot to see it i didn't see it until
i rebooted mine and then i got to thinking it was a bug
si i went to the ubuntu one website to file a bug report
and found out they designed it that way.Having the applet
in the upper right was handy i always knew what was going
on and it was very very easy to access.

I don't like that either , Maybe if enough of us speak up about it , they will revert back to the previous method , That's what beta testing is all about anyway , fine tuning and bug reporting.
Cheers Andrea!

Looks like they have added a way to always show or
hide the applet to ubuntu one good job i like having
that applet there you always know what is going on.
They have also added a way to control the bandwidth
for uploading and downloading that's another good
feature that i am glad to see added to ubuntu one.

UbuntuOne is becoming a "non-so-beta" state :)
Great Job to developers!
