Well I have been running Ubuntu on my Laptop for about a month. I have gotten most of my things to work correctly. But there are a couple things that I can't figure out. Was hoping some of you would have a idea of how to fix these issues.
Issue1:
My digital camcorder.
I used to take the video from the camcorder and take it directly to the computer via firewire port. My laptop has one on the side. Well when I plug in my Sony DCR-HC38 with ubuntu nothing happens. I am wondering wether my 1394 port even works on ubuntu. Not really sure how to check.
Issue2:
My blackberry 8830 world phone
I go on alot of business trips and always take my laptop to get email and such on the road. Well I can not seem to find how to tether my phone with Ubuntu. It shows me the files on the SD card. I tried a couple guides on the net and everytime something stoped it from working.
Computer specs:
Inspiron 9300
1gb ram
80gb HD
Can't think of anything else that I think is relivent. If you need anymore info just post and ask.
