Intel 5100 native driver speed really slow

I've gotten a new laptop that came with the Intel 5100 BGN wireless card that has a native driver. I'm using that native driver, but I've noticed that I max out at ~110kb/s. When I'm in Windows, I get at least 200kb/s. I'm not the only one who noticed the slowdown (see this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=7728760&postcount=12)), but there doesn't seem to be a work around or a fix that I can find in searching.

So I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if you had a fix, because Vista is only so wonderful to use indefinitely.

I'm using Ubuntu Jaunty 64bit.
