Hey all, I have never seen this before...
I think the drive might be dieing, but I accidently dropped it at one point, and now it makes little scratching sounds when it reads; that however is not the issue. When I reformatted the drive and reconnected it to my computer, it stays silent for a few minutes but then begins to thrash endlessly. I do move anything to the drive, nor try to read from it, but within a minute or two of connecting it, it thrashes.
Any idea why? Is the drive dead?
