I'm not sure if I should post here or not, but since 1)I just started dual-booting and 2)I can't find this tagged anywhere else, I thought I'd start here...
I'm having an issue when switching from Compiz to Metacity, and vice-versa. For ~75% of the cases this has happened, my screen appears brighter, images look crisper, and fonts look sharper when using Metacity. However, a few times, this does not happen, with Compiz NOT looking dull/soft -- I can't replicate either situation consistently. I've combed through every option (that I can understand -- still new to this, but trying) in "Appearance" and Compiz's settings. Has anyone encountered this before, or know what I'm describing?
