hi

I have ubuntu on a laptop, and i set my wireless internet connection to auto connect... the computer is great other than i need to put in the keyring password every time it auto connects.

is there a way to stop it from prompting me and connecting automatically? because i plan on giving this computer to my grandparents, and its most likely going to be too confusing for them :P

thanks for reading!:)

With a prompt should be 'allow' or 'deny' in it. Enter your password and click 'allow' and this should stop gnome-keyring from blocking nm-applet with your network connection.

*bump*

every time it turns on it asks for the keyring prompt to connect to wifi

even when i click allow, it comes up everytime i boot up

is there a way i could deactivate it? or a version of linux that doesn't need the keyring?

thanks :)
