First a disclaimer...I'm a total Ubuntu noob.
I just received my new Inspiron 15n with 8.10 pre-installed. I'd like to move it up to 9.04 via the Dell ISO, so I tried a live CD session. Everything seemed to work fine except the wireless networking...it would try & try to connect to my wifi network but never would succeed.
I'd like to upgrade it to 9.04, but now I'm worried I'll loose wireless networking. Is wifi problematic in live CD sessions? Anyone having similar problems with their Inspiron 15n with wireless in 9.04? Am I likely to have wifi problems after upgrading with the Dell 9.04 ISO?
Thanks in advance for any/all help.
Update: I got it working...just had to temporarily back-down the wifi security settings & it latched right on. I re-enabled all the wifi security settings to the previous configuration and all was fine.
