I recently got my desktop about 90% customized, and I notices that there are a few apps the dont' work w/ Global menu- one that I thought should work was Open Office- but also Firefox and some others...

Should it be renamed, almostnotquite-global menu?

Probably because OpenOffice and Firefox aren't actually using GTK as their toolkit, but instead use their own toolkits and then some hacks to get the UI look like the rest of your system. So they aren't 100% compatible with GTK (this is very easily noticeable with GTK themes that have dark background, both FF and OO will have some nasty problems in their user interfaces like black tect on black background etc)..

bummer... That's just too bad. I don't like inconsistency- but hey, what can you do...
