Alright, So I have an ATI Radeon X1650 video card, and a Dell Monitor. I wanted to install the ATI fglrx drivers, and when I went to reboot the graphics were corrupted. So, I went into recovery mode, ran this: "apt-get remove --purge xorg-drivers-fglrx" and then the faithful reboot command.
Now, the resolution won't go apast 800x600, and the monitor is considered an "unknown type" according to ubuntu.
Here are my specs.
ATI Radeon X1650 Pro
Dell Dimension 8400 P4 3.4HT
Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated greatly since I have no clue what i'm doing:P
