so when i use DHCP i can connect to the internet fine, but i have a NAT problem apparently when using bittorent programs.

in the past i've set up the network manually, used a static ip address and didn't have any connection problems. however now since i upgraded to 9.04 it seems like when i try to configure the network manually it doesn't work.

i can still connect to the internet using dhcp, but when i put in the information manually ie. ip address subnet mask default gateway, for some reason i am connected to my internal (home network) ie. i can access the router, however i cannot connect to the internet?

also, i don't use the command line for stuff so i'm doing all this via the gui. i prefer to keep it that way... although i know that might not be possible...

this problem has had me vexed for a while... any ideas?
