Hey guys. So, what do we have:
1 notebook HP with apple MacOSX.
1 pc with ubuntu server and 2 net cards

What i need: I need to make my PC work as a router.
I have there eth1->network. then ppp->eth1->internet (or whatever. pptp connection).
eth0 - inactive connection to my laptop. I dunno how to make it work (laptop and pc connected with simple lan cable), how to asign ip etc. I need PC to fully share conection (lan and ppp).
Also i need it to share harddisk.

I wanned to use freebsd at first, but it was to complex and it didn't get dns (i could not ping my vpn server by name, only by ip adress).

Can anybody guide me here? Or give any usefull link (if it will be about freebsd - it would be more than great!)

Really need help =( At least how to connect laptop and pc =(

There are a couple of BSD router/firewall projects. This (http://www.intranetjournal.com/articles/200812/ij_12_16_08a.html) is a review of some firewalls. Here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Router) is a help page I found (but haven't read) for Ubuntu-based router.
