I installed world of warcraft and got it to work. when I ran the actual game ( the first 4 discs) the graphics were prefect, however when I installed BC the graphic when all wonky, the textures and colors were off I couldn't even login because the username and password fields were just one big block. anyway to fix this?

Ok same thing happened cept BC was prefect too until playonlinux simluated a windows reboot ( which went on for 15 mintues so i cancelled it ) then the graphics went wonky. screenshot 1 is after it tired to simulate a reboot. Think I should try it without playonlinux and just wine?

Simulated a reboot.... that's the most absurd thing I've ever heard.

Did you use Winetricks to install DirectX9 by any chance?

WOTLK is all messed up thanks blizzard. there are work arounds but the essayist way to get it installed is ether log into windows and copy the whole cd to hard drive and install from there or better yet just log into your account on worldofwarcraft.com and download the installer there.

+1
Install it on Windows.
Copy the folder \Program Files\World of Warcraft onto another drive.
Boot Ubuntu
Navigate to ~\<insert your user here>\.wine\Program Files\
Copy it there
Run the WoW.exe (with or without -opengl) & you're laughing.
