I have the same question. I have tried 8.04LTS and 9.04...

It has a big problem with installing GRUB. It assigns the incorrect partition to boot from. So I thought easy just boot from live cd and fix grub.. Cant boot from the live cd either, get errors "abnormal exit" when trying to boot from live cd. The live cd works fine on other machines... I am starting to think M600 hardware is not supported by Ubuntu
