Gtk/GNOME Application Like VariCAD?

Does anyone know a Gtk/GNOME application that is similar to VariCAD (http://www.varicad.com/)? I would like to use it for designing mechanical parts of a robot, metal mostly. Java would also do fine, as would anything that emulates the Gtk/GNOME look well.

Hmm...Gtk/GNOME...I'm not sure. Have you looked at any pages like these?

Apparently Cycas for Linux uses GTK. Not sure if there are any others.
