I have an old Apple 8600/300 with a PPC 604e, and OS 9.1. But, I would like to install either YDL, Ubuntu on it. Now, the OS 9.1 is bloated with a ton of junk from the previous user, and I believe that the 4 GB SCSI hard drive is also failing. My ultimate goal is to get a spare IBM 9.1 GB SCSI hard drive in there, dual booting OS 9.xx, and ubuntu. Any how-to's, pointers, and recomendations will be appreciated. I am fairly new to both linux and MAC, so I will need some help.
