I've downloaded & installed GMail Notifier from the repositories, but think it needs some configuration so that I can jump to my inbox, currently this does not happen. It will notify me off mail but is essentially broke as cannot then access inbox from the app itself.

Since it is a Gmail Notifier it notifies you of new mail you get into your Gmail account but I don't think it can do more than that. Anybody else have any ideas?

Well there is a right click entry for "Go to inbox..." the Windows version would also launch inbox when double clicking notifier icon.

Right click on the gmail-notify icon

Go to Configure...

Make sure you enter your username and passord.
Type in firefox where it says Browser Path and OK it.

Should work.

Another option that i find coo0l, if you use pidgin link it to your gmail and then select one of the notifier plugins to your liking
