View Full Version : [all variants] Dual booting Vista and Jaunty..Can't Get Boot Menu!!

I had Ubuntu 9.04 installed. I dual booted Vista. Now it loads straight into Vista without giving me a boot menu. I read that it overwrites the MBR for Ubuntu but I can't seem to fix it. Help Please.

so i just followed this guide http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=224351 and now when I hit esc on the startup, i get the boot menu but Vista is no longer there..what now?

Vista rewrote your MBR. You have to reinstall grub, or reinstall Ubuntu whatever easier for you.

Its probably easier to reinstall Grub. This guide worked pretty well for me:

thats exactly what i did but now vista isnt in the boot menu
