I wasted 2 hours and got nowhere... >:(*)

I decided, "Hey, it might be fun to set up a e-mail server!". So I took a few ours out of my time to read and follow this:

And went into thunder bird to test my new email, then it keeps saying, "SMTP server timed out" Which means in tech talk, "Yo G, u messed me up so bad I ain't even go to talk to u!"

Please help me, as my PC's talkin' trash to me. A VERY simple e-mail guid will do.

Speaking as someone who has minimal experience configuring email servers, it sounds to me as if your email server might need to be restarted.

Wow, im an idiot, but moving on, I just scanned my server with nmap, and forwarded all of my ports, but I still get the same error. Now how would I configure thunder bird to my server? Like what would the settings be? My IP address? Username?
