i want to design my own birthday cards and would like to now if there is a any software for this on ubuntu.

there is gimp an image manipulation program (just like photoshop)


sudo apt-get install gimp

it will be in the applications-> graphics menu after installing it.

There's also inkscape, which you can use:

sudo apt-get install inkscape

or you can run Photoshop with Wine :)
