I have just installed Ubuntu on an old box there are 2 network cards. If I have both working I am able to connect to the LAN, but I not the Internet. If only one is on then I get LAN & Internet.

I checked the configuration of both cards and it all looks good, the IP addresses are correct and they have different MAC addresses.

When I check the router the IP addresses are different but it shows the same MAC address.

If I turn off eth0 the router shows both IP addresses and the eth1 MAC, if I turn off eth1 the router shows both IP addresses and the eth0 MAC.

It does not matter which interface is off I can get to the internet. I started writing this with eth0 on and now eth1 is on and eth0 is off.

Any suggestions?
