OK this is going to sound REALLY stupid. VGN-NS laptop (Vaio) first the battery wasnt identified.. pulled it, rebooted and inserted and presto.. now here is my question. The GUI in Gnome tells me @ time to complete charge yet when I cat the info and state it says unknown voltage and non-rechargable.

Is there a file that can be updated or an automagic method so it identifies correctly and has the values for the battery?
