Hi all

I am planning to buy a new laptop. I have been looking around a bit and found the HP Compaq 6530b. This fits me needs and is in my price range.

Before buying I would like to check here what the experts say, what experiences people have using this laptop with Ubuntu.

If you have suggestions for similar laptops in a similar price range, they're very welcome!

Thanks for your advice

Hi!
I just found interest in the same laptop as you - that's why I searched the forum in the hope to find the very same info you are asking for....
Guess we have to wait to see if anyone has this laptop with Ubuntu.

But from what I understand, after checking the specifications on it - it should be fine with Ubuntu.
Unless someone in here wants to correct me....

Windows®. Life without Walls™. HP recommends Windows 7.

Everything looks OK. It has a synaptic touch pad.
