Erlang doubts

Halo sir,

I 'd do the project in erlang for my final year

we know it(Erlang) is concurrency and no shared memory

What is the advantage of erlang while having no shared memory?

for example consider the gtalk server it has shared memory,so because of the shared memory what the problem it has?


Because of the no concepts in shared memory what the advantage erlang has?

For implemeting that the server in erlang what i have to do?
