Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04 on my Dell Inspiron 1525. Initially, there were issues with the volume level, but I fixed that by changing the PCM level. However, now, the speakers have a fuzzy, buzzing sound every now and then, and I think it happens whenever there's a strong bass beat playing (which is an issue, as a good chunk of my music has a strong bass beat).

Anyway, I've checked around, but there doesn't seem to be any specific help. Is it an issue with the sound card from the upgrade? I'm still not very well-versed in Ubuntu, so apologies if it takes me a while to get things.

Thanks!

ok...when i first started using ubuntu i had problems with rhythmbox and i resolved it by finding another media player. in my case this ending up being VLC Player (in Synaptic). may want to give it a try...
