I can only view it with Ubuntu. I can't even view my hard drive on a windows computer.

Let me tell you how this happened:

I was reformatting my neighbours computer and installed a fresh new windows operating system on it. Little did I know, My external hard drive was plugged into it. I found out, and immediately turned off the computer before the formatting finished. After that I couldn't/can't view my external on any computer.

I can see it on Ubuntu, and I can see it on Gparted. I don't know what I'm doing on Gparted. I tried formatting to a fat32 and this is what happened:

I still can't view my files.

Can I get any help on my problem? I'm willing to answer any questions so I could receive some help.

Thanks.

does it not ask you for a password when mounting?
