:P Hi! I have a question about Bolt through kit's. I have an E8400 OC'd to 3.6ghz @ 1.160v on a ASUS P5Q Pro and my temperature's are just way too high! As I write this I am idling at 52.c (127.F)
I do have an aftermarket heat sink and fan that I have had for maybe two year's. My temperature wasn't always this bad. I have uninstalled and cleaned the HSF just to see if it would make a difference. The time has come to where it is too hot in my box for my liking. I plan on getting a new HSF I am looking at the XIGMATEK HDT-S1284EE 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler on New Egg.

My main question is will a bolt through kit have an impact on cooling performance?

I was unable to find any article's online about this specific topic. Thank you for reading!

I have found some detailed information at: http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling/375996-vendetta-2-push-pins-vs-bolt.html

Bolt through kit's increase pressure on a cpu thus better conductivity. Push pin's are kinda faulty and may break. In my case there is not enough pressure to my motherboard/CPU.
I hope this help's someone.. as it has made my decision!
