PACKETFENCE :problem in installation on ubuntu 8.03

hello,
i m triying to install packet fence ,the opensource nac on ubuntu.
while looking for an install, i didn't find sthg better than a tar archeive.
the problem occurs when the install script reaches the make step...
running make test
and
running make install

the script shows me the following message:
Make had some problems, won't install

please if someone have an idea, give some heeeeeeeelp lol,i m in trouble :(

Do you have anything more verbose about what make had problems with?

Has anybody have successfully installed Packetfence ,ZEN or can point me to some good how-to tutorials as the one on PF page does not explain everything in detail .:confused:
