I downloaded the Ubuntu CD ISO image and burned it onto a CD, but it won't boot. All I get is an error message that says:

loading...isolinux: Disk Error 32, AX = 4280, drive 9F

Can anyone give me some idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,
Mark

Are u able to see the ubuntu's first splash screen where there's the option "Check CD for defects".. Try with this option, maybe burning the disk, the cd burner write some wrong sector.. If the checking options says that there's some errors, try to burn with low speed..

If you're burning it with Windows, I recommend ISORecorder :

&

For downloading the ISO, I recommend checking the MD5 (checksum) to verify the image integrity
an easy tool for this is a Firefox add-on called DownThemAll
&
DownThemAll also accelerates your download a lot

edit:
I think its safe to say you're gonna need to re-burn -or- re-download,
I'm pretty sure one of the two went wrong
