View Full Version : [ubuntu] permissions of burnt cd could not be determined

Hi I am very new to Ubuntu, and I'm tryin to change some song file names that I have burnt to a cd but I can't figure out how and why I don't have permission?? I seem to have no problems changing other song files its just seems to be the burnt songs that I have no control other the read and write priveldgives. Please help me. :D

A burnt CD is permanent, in other words you can burn more data on, but not change the data already on it. CDs are cheap. Just burn a new one.

Unless it's a CD-RW. Some CD-RW filesystems allow updates to existing data (as well as adding data and erasing the whole disc). But it's pretty unusal and not recommended.
