Does linux have anything like the commercial windows program(s) that lets you make any changes you want to your pc, and when you reboot reverts it to what it was before you made the changes?

You can boot a LiveCD. Or look into a Virtual Machine.

Or are you talking about a lab situation? Like Deep Freeze?
