[HELP] Unusually high latency in WoW...

Hi everybody!

soooo heres the story...

my girlfriend and i play wow together.

im on linux (very nice, new setup) and my gf is on xp (older setup, but still nice)

we are on the same router (not wireless)

and while we play together, we have been getting latency anywhere from 250ms - 500ms

i can alt tab, and check a speedtest online, and the connection is good, just not in wow...

anyone have any info, or know a fix?

ps... we didnt use to have this problem when we played on 2 xp machines...

I'm not sure if we have the same issue. I can play WoW fine for a few hours but then my latency starts going up pretty quickly. At first in the 500-1000 range but then about 15 minutes later it sky rockets to 8000-15000.

No matter what I do (reset internet connection, restart WoW. Latency then stays high until I do a reboot.

I tried /etc/init.d/networking restart, but to no avail


Hope we find a solution to our problem
