View Full Version : Ubuntuforums Search Plugin Generator for Firefox

I never use the forum search feature, just the Google site search. This feature allow us to get search results only from a specific site, in this case Ubuntu Forums, by adding the string site:ubuntuforums.org after the keywords. This method is much better than the forum search feature, since it gives you more precise results.

So I decided to create a script that generates the plugin automatically and put it in the Firefox profile you choose.

To install the plugin, simply run the attached script and restart Firefox. It will add a Ubuntuforums.org (Google) plugin to your search plug-in list.

why not just use one of the existing engines like uboontu or googlbuntu :)
