View Full Version : [ubuntu] Why can't I check certain packages in the update-manager?

When I look at the update manager there are a about a half dozen packages listed that have empty checkboxes and they don't let me check them off for upgrade. :confused:

When I look at the update manager there are a about a half dozen packages listed that have empty checkboxes and they don't let me check them off for upgrade. :confused:

this means they're missing some dependencies. For instance you could have the packages randomapp and randomapp-data. Sometimes it happens that one of them gets in the repositories before the other. For me this happens alot with the main kernel and linux-restricted-modules. Just wait for a day. Tomorrow you will be able to select them
