You can install UNR 'on top' of XP and that will erase XP ..... or you can dual boot XP and UNR (side-by-side)...or you can create a persistent USB thumb drive and use that whenever you feel the need for linux/ubuntu.

I don't think WUBI applies to UNR.

I don't think WUBI applies to UNR.

So as not to confuse linuxnewbie2..... WUBI is a installation method where Ubuntu resides INSIDE windows. So, to clarify installs methods :

-Ubuntu 'on top' = erase windows hence sole-boot
-Ubuntu beside
-Ubuntu inside/within windows.

@ theozzlives:

Say a operator dual-boots (thru WUBI) XP and 9.04. He access' 9.04 and types at terminal ... sudo apt-get install ubuntu-netbook-remix and reconfigures his panels to get the UNR feel/look.

Is that possible?
