Hi, is there any posibility of disabling or changing the code for the 'eight'close-bracket smiley

8)

It is really annoying when you want to put an 8 in brackets or write an ordered list manually.

What do you think?

Regards,

Bodsda

You can put this in Ubuntu Brainstorm.

he only wants to disable the one

edit: yes adblock plus works with that

after you right click it and then you click custom icon_cool.gif

and then its gone but you can still see the other ones

Not a great idea. I might have said it in another thread, but forum-related issues should really go here if there's any hope of them being seen.

I really dont want to have to disable all simleys, and blocking them is kinda overkill. Just seems pointless to have a smiley linked to a reasonably common 2 character connection.

When people type :) (colon close-bracket)
or :-) (colon - close-bracket)

they expect a smiley, but eight close-bracket makes little sense to me.

noparse tags 8)

8)
8)

Or, remove the '8)' tag and interchange it with

edit: I see  already prints a , so, maybe just remove the 8) code?

/me is getting sick of typing 'noparse'...

Could they not change the 8) to 8-) upstream?

Oh.

I have the BBCode addon (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/128) and have noparse as a custom tag

*kicks self*

*wonders why I dind't think of doing that, because I already have the plugin mentioned above*

(the code I used for a custom tag is _value_)

Too simple :cool:8)
