View Full Version : [ubuntu] slow internet connection

Hi, I've just installed the latest version of ubuntu and I'm suffering slow internet connection. Its so slow, i cant watch youtube videos. I'm on a 20mb connection and other computers on the network (windows machines) get full speed. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Please post the output of
sudo lshw -C networkWireless or wired?

Solved the problem,it was my pcmia wirelss card which was causing the problem. I pulled the card and used theone built into my thinkpad and et volia, full speed internet access.
