Is there an ubuntu chat room

I like forums and things of it's ilk

However sometimes new threads get moved to the 5th page within 4 minutes when the servers are busy, and there is a great likelihood that the message has been lost.

Would it be too much to ask for a chat room to be added to this community?

Hopefully have to be monitored because i can imagine people breaking the swearing rule. Maybe have different rooms where profanity varies.

Ubuntu is very active in IRC. You can use either irc.freenode.net or irc.ubuntu.com. #ubuntu is one of the major support channels.
