I would think that this is not really "Linux" vs Windows, more like GNU... or rather perhaps GNOME vs Windows... what ever their shell is called.
I got very puzzled by some of the items on the list so here we go:
1. Full access vs. no access
access of what?
3. Online peer support vs. paid help-desk support
It goes for both windows and linux, but windows tend to have more help-desk orientated support than peer compared to linux, but both heavily rely on peers. Linux also have it's help-desk support companies.
4. Full vs. partial hardware support
neither windows nor linux has full hardware support. windows has less hardware support out of the box but through 3rd party you can get more drivers than with linux. this is only due to market share, windows has little marketshare in refrigerators so you will unlikely get any drivers for that. Im probably not making sense to people that do not know, and repeating what everyone that knows has heard million times.
5. Command line vs. no command line
neither systems have to use command line, both systems rely on cli.
Infact... you technically could use text documents and launchers instead of the terminal in linux when fixing your system, windows can also, but to be fair, they both rely on it when needed.
6. Centralized vs. noncentralized application installation
What is that actually supposed to mean?
8. Fanboys vs. corporate types
both has fanboys and both have corporate types.... please define in regard to what this is.
9. Automated vs. nonautomated removable media
If I take this as automatic then gnome and kde3 (and 4) auto mount removable media just as windows, they just dont open the media with nautilus or dolphin by default.
