happy bunny tried for 2 weeks to get my trustwb 3320 webcam to work

and having tried for alternatives i asked everyone who knew and many sites

the consensus is that logitech was by far my best bet

so i researched further

and here http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/#devices it says that uvc compliant devices

should by and large work

so i read further and elsewhere

and the one everyone seems to agree on is logitech quickcam E3500

so i went and bought one

about $20 and lo and behold

it works

was not asked for drivers or anything

hope this helps others too

I was about to start a new thread asking for a webcam that just works and came across yours first. Thank you for the post. I'll see if I can find a webcam that will work with karmic koala based on your link.

I've got ubuntu installed on a Dell Latitude, a Vaio and a Dell Studio it all worked out so it seems embedded webcams works pretty alright.

Note, when someone buys a laptop I never encourage other brand than these because these just works with Linux.
