I am having issues signing in to WoW. The screen goes black as normal then upper left half of the screen is black and the cursor is stuck there. If I move the mouse around the cursor comes out of the black and I can click on the little blue icon in the task bar next to the little green man where I turn off the computer. That brings up the auto updat window for WoW. Sometimes I close that with the x and the sign in screen for Wow appears and sometimes the computer goes to the Ubuntu sign in.
I recently updated my os to the jaunty jackalope. The problem started shortly after I upgraded to JJ.
I am wondering if I could turn off the WoW auto updater perhaps this wouldn't be an issue. Might make the game less laggy too.

Thanks.
T.

How did you remove the auto updater?

I tried something.
Applications/wine/programs/world of warcraft/world of warcraft - repair.
That fixed alot of problems, including the "black screen of frustration".
