How to install DirectX9.0 on VB 3.0.2?

Hi

i have a Ubuntu Host with Windows XP guest. Everything installed correctly and installed the guest additions.

I heard that VirtualBox 3.0.2 supports DirectX 2.0-9.0c which attracted me the most and installed DirectX 9.0 when logged onto my XP however when i go to play a game it still says DirectX is missing or not installed correctly

any tutorials on how to install the DirectX 9.0? or do u just install it when logged onto windows just like if u were running a windows host?

Did you "enable" it under Settings/Display?

But i think i solved it

You have to run Windows in Safe Mode then install the 3.0.2 guest additions

also when installing the guest additions make sure u check the DirectX support button :D
