I just wanted to know what if any programs there are for making games in linux if it helps i run jaunty. I would prefer somethong the doesn't require much coding and is free. please send links to anything you can think of besides pygame. I grew very fond of game maker but it does not work in linux nor in wine so anything like that would be great. Thank you

Adobe Flex (http://www.adobe.com/products/flex/). You need to learn to code but you don't need to buy any Adobe Flash product to use it. But you need to download and install a Flex Builder-- might do well to have a read here: http://freedomculture.wordpress.com/2007/05/13/adobe-flex-development-on-ubuntu-linux/

But +1 for Blender. :)

That thing sounds exactly like that Game Maker that Yo-Yo Games has for Windows. The Windows version is really deep because you can even make online games, and it has it's own language. It has gotten A LOT of people started on game design (since the manual/tutorials tries to teach good game design techniques while teaching you how to use it).

If something like that would come out for Linux, I could see a lot more people making the jump.

note that Stencyl, if it ever comes out, won't be open sourced. this will considerably limit it's usefulness.

In that case i'd wait for Construct 2 (http://scirra.com) which promises cross-platform in a total rewrite. Current version is Windows XP+ only.

I have many AVCHD videos, but don't know how to convert them to the popular video format, someday i tried MTS Converter (http://www.mtsconverterdownload.com/index.html), it is so easy to use and have a excellent video effect, and at the same time, it is also a TS Converter (http://www.mtsconverterdownload.com/ts-converter.html).

There is something called ASM which you can use it's very user intuitive and the workflow is awesome.
