I've not tried Ubuntu yet, but I'll try it soon. Before that, I need to know about something... is FreePascal (FPC) included in Ubuntu distro? I need this compiler because I use it a lot for programming in Linux. TIA.

No it's not. You will have to compile from source yourself.
