Im Posting To Find Out If There Are Any Problems With Installing And playing World Of Warcraft The Wrath Of the Lich King Ver 3.1.3 9947 before Going Thourght The HAssle Of Installing it

Any install Hints Tips Or ANything Would be Helpful

You are aware that you need WINE in order to play WoW on linux?

wow sucks. it needs to freaking die. It sucks because all it is is a pointless grind, to achieve NOTHING.

It works out of the box mostly: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=16459

You may experience some drop in FPS compared to native windows tho (not Ubuntus fault :) )

And you get a lot better performance with Nvidia cards because of the drivers.

Your rant sucks. It sucks because it adds nothing constructive to the conversation at hand. Why you think the thread will be locked is beyond me.

FYI, OP: WoW works fine on two of my machines under Wine. One is ATI based, the other Nvidia and the comments made above concerning the slight speed advantage of the Nvidia card holds true. Good luck.

i have wine already i play on a private server a friend of mine runs so no pointless grinding :P i just was wondering about if there is any compatiblity problems im new to the linux universe but ill try it

And you shouldn't be wasting time here. Your guild is calling you to join them in their sunwell raid. (or whatever the newest coolest 6-hour pointless grind waste of time called a raid dungeon is). :roll:
